About Our Studio
We are a unique dance studio offering classes in a variety of dance styles and experience levels starting from age three to adult. We are more than a studio, and more like a dance community! At Revolution we encourage dancers to tap into their inner creativity and explore the beautiful art of dance through a well-rounded dance education and technique training. Whether you are a dancer with experience or you are just getting started, Revolution Dance Company provides a positive fun dance environment for everyone!

Karen has over 30 years of dance experience. She danced at Center Stage Dance Company in San Jose for 26 of those years with training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Hawaiian, and acrobatics. She began teaching dance at the age of 12 and has taught varying levels from preschool to high school. Her experience includes performing in many dance shows and competitions, attending numerous dance conventions and judging high school dance team try outs in the Bay Area. She coached an award winning high school song leading team for 4 years. Karen also spent 3 years dancing professionally for a sports team at the San Jose Sports Arena. She took over Revolution Dance Company in 2020 just three months before the pandemic and has keep it alive and thriving through it all.
Olivia is a Chico local with over 25 years of dance experience. Starting off with competitive belly dancing at five years old, Olivia has explored all types of dance instruction including jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, and her personal favorite, hip-hop. She was on competitive hip-hop teams for a combined 15 years and has performed at multiple Kings and Harlem Globetrotters halftime shows. Olivia is a former national level competitive figure skater and coach for 15 years as well. She loves creating all types of arts, self-expression, and choreography, and loves to extend that passion over to her student dancers and enjoys seeing that same spark in their movement.
Anissa has been a dancer since the age of 3. She has trained in ballet, tap, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop. She has performed at a variety of events and competitions and has been an instructor for dancers from beginners to advanced. Dance is something she is truly passionate about, and she will continue to share this with our community.
