We are a unique dance studio offering classes in a variety of dance styles and experience levels starting from age three to adult. We are more than a studio, and more like a dance community! At Revolution we encourage dancers to tap into their inner creativity and explore the beautiful art of dance through a well-rounded dance education and technique training. Whether you are a dancer with experience or you are just getting started, Revolution Dance Company provides a positive fun dance environment for everyone!

Revolution Instructors & Choreographers

Karen Winchester : Owner/Instructor/Choreographer
Karen has over 30 years of dance experience. She danced at Center Stage Dance Company in San Jose for 26 of those years with training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, Hawaiian, and acrobatics. She began teaching dance at the age of 12 and has taught varying levels from preschool to high school. Her experience includes performing in many dance shows and competitions, attending numerous dance conventions and judging high school dance team try outs in the Bay Area. She coached an award winning high school song leading team for 4 years. Karen also spent 3 years dancing professionally for a sports team at the San Jose Sports Arena. She took over Revolution Dance Company in 2020.

Shelby D'Epiro : Instructor/Choreographer
Shelby has been dancing since the age of 6. With 11 years of competitive dance experience, Shelby has garnered numerous high scores, first- place, and judges' choice awards. Specializing in contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip hop, and musical theater, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the studio! During her teen years, Shelby's training held an emphasis in classical ballet, instilling in her deep appreciation for technical precision. She is committed to honoring each student's natural anatomy and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of age, level, background, or body type, feels welcomed and valued.

Hazel Ruzic : Tap Instructor/Choreographer
Hazel has been dancing on and off since the age of 4 and has been a dedicated RDC dancer since 2019 Her favorite style of dance is Tap but she also loves Contemporary. She loves that dancing provides infinite possibilities for self expression and story telling! Just graduated with the class of 2026, Hazel has been brought on as a youth and adult tap instructor and choreographer. She has been a role model to our younger and older dancers for many years now and we are excited to see what she will do with them in this style of dance!
